when i was little i used to store hugs in the bottom drawer of my dresser. if someone wanted one i would have to run to my room and get one out before i could embrace anyone. i also had an imaginary friend named joey.

i’m never good at describing myself. perhaps because i often feel like i live in contradictions…i love shopping at bloomingdales and goodwill. good wine and wine that comes from the box (don’t hate…). getting dressed up and staying in my pjs all day. i love traveling but there is nothing as amazing as coming home to sleep in my own bed. i’ve lived in a city and grew up in a small town. past jobs include disney world, law firms and a non-profit. i can appreciate non-stop chatter and the sounds of silence.

i live in south africa now. i’m working with an amazing ministry that is building leaders and changing the future of the country and the continent. i’m trying to figure out what life as a missionary looks like. i’m not sure where my journey will lead me. despite abundant uncertainty, there are a few things i know for sure. i am in constant pursuit of a life where i am fully surrendering all that i am to my Creator. despite my imperfection, i am trying to grow in unselfish love and humility and live in a way that honors my Savior. i refuse to give up on Truth. i strive to relentlessly dig deeper to gain a more authentic understanding of true freedom in Christ. i am a child of God. i am more than my ambitions, my possessions and my mistakes. we all are.
